It was great! The room was nice and big and the bathroom was great. It was four minutes from the metro and we were allowed to stow our bags in the lobby on the last day. Overall great experience!
We stayed here again after 3 years. The guys who run the hostel have made a massive improvement. They even have a Rent a Bike service however we visited Budapest in the winter so we didn't use it. It's more like a small cheap hotel than a hostel. Stay here if you are searching for a clean hotel with good location and reliable staff.
We have stayed in Corvin Point for three nights, and it was definitely one of the best places we have stayed in ever. I have to say that the place was even better than some more expensive "hotels" we have stayed in. As someone said earlier on here this is definitely "more than a hostel".
We were in private double bed (although in our room was also two more beds, but we were alone, and were also asured by the guy from reception that we will be alone, so that was not a problem) room with our own bathroom, and everything was super clean and neat. The bed was very comfortable, sheets were clean, same as towels. Only problem was the fridge (it was not big deal for us, because it was cold and we didn't have a need to use it) - it was empty, and it looked cleaned, but somehow it had pretty strong bed fridge smell. However, as I said, for us it was not a problem, and it didn't make our time in there less comfortable.
Hostel itself is located in a quite street, and although window was facing the street, and we have stayed there over the weekend it was very peaceful. Street might look a little dark, but that shouldn't worry you because it is next to the one of the main strets in Pesta. Tram lines 4 and 6 stop pretty close, and the metro lines 4 and (i think) 3 are also near by. Also there are plenty of markets, fast food kiosks and restaurants in the area. Stuff was friendly and helpfull.
In conclusion - we were very pleased and will probably come back once we come back to Budapest again!
I would definitely recommend staying in this hostel! The location is perfect, everything is within walking distance and there's a tram stop right out side/busses galore! The staff are lovely, 'Laura' in particular! She can tell you everything about Budapest and where to go! We were there for two full days and thanks to her suggestions we managed to see everything touristy and hidden gems! The hostel itself was incredibly clean, plenty of bathrooms, living space and bedrooms within the dorm! Fab!
Staff were all amazing and helpful. Location is walking distance from everything - metro and tram also very close. Rooms and kitchen dining area very big, bathrooms exceptionally clean. Amazing value for money and would stay again!!
This was absolutely fantastic. The staff was extremely helpful in telling us where we should go since we were only there for a weekend. The room was super clean and had a great location. Security was above par and we felt safe in the area and while there. We will definitely be returning in the years to comes.
I've been visiting Budapest with friends for a few days and I don't think I could find better value for money. I made a last minute reservation and they upgraded us for the apartment free of charge as the last room available. I will only book this apartment for next time... Fully equipped large kitchen diner, two large bedrooms with double bed, nice bathroom, everything newly refurbished to a high standard. If we had stayed for longer somewhere to hang shirts (dresses) would have been handy but in our case it was not an issue. Free wifi, tv and audio system available too.
Perfect for a short city break. Bakery on the corner, shop 3 minutes away, city centre 15 minutes away..
I can only recommend this plaice, hotel quality accommodation for third of the price..
Will be back for sure...
The hostel is clean and fairly spacious, the room we were in could accommodate up to 4. Due to a noisy neighbour we were very kindly moved to the apartment which was great - kitchen, TV, two separate double rooms. The staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly with good recommendations for when/where to visit and where to eat
We arrived first at Budapest Keleti and walked to the hostel. The journey was longer than expected from any guides read. However, the place is near to public transportation (tram, bus & metro). Therefore, it is easily accessible. The front desk was friendly and he briefed us thoroughly on the key location points and their whereabouts. Since it was winter season, there wasn't many people around - we get an automated upgrade to a more spacious room. It was wonderful!
Some notes though - since there was many backpackers come and go, a lot of items get left behind. Beware of expired goods and overused utensils. Wear socks/slippers because the floor can get really dirty. Despite that, good stay.
